Team Effort In Saving Lives Through Automatic Logic

My three professional goals are:

  • Save both law enforcement officer and civilian lives
  • Lower the “Total Cost of Fleet Ownership” through technology
  • …all at the same time

Through team work with agencies, listening to officers, learning about what happens in the field, and sharing that feedback to my home office I work to achieve my goals everyday. Through product innovation and automation we are able to address concerns and help meet my goals. My recent experience illustrates this process perfectly.

A support team at the Polk County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office was configuring our bluePRINT® control system to automate selected features on their vehicles to handle different scenarios the deputies might face in the field. This is a vital process as this programming of automatic logic will save lives in the seconds it saves.

The discussion among the SoundOff team and Polk County was free-flowing and exciting from the stand point of what can be done without the deputy thinking about what to activate or which buttons to push during a life threatening situation.   It just happens based on bluePRINT®’s predetermined set of conditions – which is what we were configuring that day.

What is Automatic Logic?

Automatic Logic uses “if, then” conditions that “automatically” control outputs such as lighting patterns, siren tones, etc,  so officers keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.  Taking your eyes off the road for five seconds while driving 55 mph is like driving the length of a football field blindfolded

Why your agency needs Automatic Logic.

Automatic logic quite simply saves lives by keeping officers focused on the road, not on buttons, switches, and controls.
